Application of operando SERS for the study of catalysis mechanism
Raman spectroscopy is a widely applied technique under operando conditions due to its robustness against heat/pressure etc., as well as the ability of providing information of both catalyst structure and surface intermediates. However, the relatively low sensitivity restricts its application. The advent of surfaced enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) can dramatically increase its sensitivity, with which we hope to build the relationship between activity/selectivity and surface species and deepen the understanding of catalytical mechanisms.
