In March 2019, Ward initially started as a postdoc in the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis (ICC) group, but recently, his position was changed into Tenure Track Assistant Professor. He will work together with prof. dr. ir. Bert Weckhuysen on the synthesis and in-situ characterization of size- and shape-controlled colloidal metal electrocatalyst nanoparticles in order to understand the reaction mechanisms and how we can control them to eventually design efficient and stable electrocatalysts for the conversion of CO2 into hydrocarbon fuels with three or more carbon atoms.
