Your start in our group
Welcome to the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group. We are located in two buildings, the 4th floor of the David de Wied building and in Vening Meinesz Buildings B and C. To make the onboarding a more pleasant experience and to not let you alone during your stay at ICC, you were assigned a buddy or – if you are a MSc./BSc. student – a daily supervisor. They will be your contact person to help you get to know the group, show you around the buildings and introduce you to everyone in the group. You can ask any questions you have to your buddy or daily supervisor. This person is also responsible to go through the whole buddy checklist or checklist for students with you (both available on the Wiki, see below). Please complete it as soon as possible. In addition, you can find general information for onboarding at the faculty here and here (available with Solis-ID).
Building access, safety trainings, access to the teams environment, addition to mailing lists and access to the Wiki is arranged via forms:
PhD/Postdocs: https://forms.office.com/e/dYqnUACBE6
students: https://forms.office.com/e/WtB5nB8nkC
guests: https://forms.office.com/e/tMD8SeCsrj
Welcome again, and we are happy to have you on board!
Website
You can find all information and news items about our group Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis on our website. The contact persons of the website (Martijn Hut and Jan den Hollander) take care of the publications of the group and put new colleagues on this website.
As employee we all have our personal profile page within the Utrecht University website system. It will display if anybody from inside or outside the university searches for a specific person at Utrecht University via the general webpage: https://www.uu.nl/staff/Search. Check, and ensure that for your personal profile page at least the contact data provided (room, group, telephone number, etc.) are correct. This makes a great difference, as for instance we receive regularly complaints that people do not find the address to send something to, or the phone number to contact somebody. Also listing phone numbers incorrectly, or not listing them at all, will make that other people (for instance our secretaries) are bothered unnecessarily. Furthermore, we have to fill in information about ancillary activities. The information on this page can very easily be changed/updated by clicking the “Edit” in the right upper corner of your webpage.
