My research focuses on the chemical recycling of plastics. I aim to develop a novel strategy to break down polyolefin backbone under mild reaction conditions. I am focusing on the photo-oxidation and solvolysis process in the presence of heterogeneous catalyst. Characterization techniques such as IR and AFM are applied to observe changes in functional groups on polymer backbone and surface roughness of plastics throughout the reaction.
