Joris Janssens is the Electrocatalysis technician at the ICC group. He will be assisting the research of prof. dr. ir. Bert Weckhuysen and dr. Ward van der Stam in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2. One of the challenges of this research will be to apply different measurements and spectroscopic techniques in-situ during the reaction in the electrochemical cells (e.g. Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction), which Joris will help to design and construct. Joris will also design and build electrochemical process setups, and assist the ICC technician group with more general work tasks.
