Micro-nano plastic’s impacts on human health is a major knowledge gap. In this project we aim to characterize reference MNPs in solution and use the obtained knowledge to track MNP in human samples, especially in blood. This project is part of the Momentum consortium and I perform this project in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Focus of my research is on measuring polymer type, size, and morphology in different samples using PiFM and Py-GC-MS techniques.
