Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis well represented at USP Marathon 2017

On March 19, several members of the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis (ICC) group participated in the third edition of the Utrecht Science Park (USP) Marathon.

The course brought the runners through the Uithof university campus, the city and the surrounding area. Utrecht Science Park Marathon is organized by Utrecht University in cooperation with partners at Utrecht Science Park.
The University campus is added to the route of the Utrecht Marathon since 2015.

Participation ICC group members
The ICC group was well presented at the USP marathon.

Single participants were:
Wouter Lamme, Hans Meeldijk, Joel Schmidt, Jogchum Oenema and Ramon Oord.

Joris Goetze, Thomas Hartman, Marjolein Velthoen and Carolien Vis formed one of the 18 Utrecht University teams.
They finished the track of 42.2 km with a time of 3:40 hours.

As part of the marathon, there was also a fundraising for the KWF (Koningin Wilhelmina Fonds) cancer foundation. The money (126.000 Euro) that is collected during the USP will be used for cancer research at the University Medical Center at Utrecht.
